Since the release of the Bitcoin paper in 2008, lots of blockchain and crypto currency projects and resources have emerged. On this page I have listed some of the most prominent and most useful blockchain projects and resources for you to get started on your blockchain journey.
Blockchain Projects

| Bitcoin | The website of Bitcoin - the first crypto currency project which kicked off the whole blockchain industry. |
| Ethereum | Ethereum was the first blockchain project to have smart contracts (as far as I know). |
| Monero | Monero was one of early privacy focused crypto currencies - and still remains popular. |
| Discreet | Discreet is a new crypto currency focused on privacy, aiming at increasing the privacy and speed compared to Monero. |
| NXT / Ignis / Ardor | NXT is a crypto currency which claims to be the first to use proof-of-stake as consensus algorithm. Ignis and Ardor are related products. |
| Dash | Dash is a crypto currency that seems to be popular in South America among other places. Dash can even be used in shops there. |
| Solana | Solana is a newer blockchain project with higher performance, using proof-of-stake as consensus algorithm. |
| Avalanche | Avalanche is a newer blockchain project with higher performance. |
| Brave | Brave is a web browser with a built-in crypto currency named BAT - Basic Attention Token. |
| LBRY | LBRY is a decentralized digital content platform for video, audio, text etc. with a built-in crypto currency named LBC. LBRY is a P2P desktop and mobile app. |
| Odysee | Odysee is a more traditional web application providing access to a lot of the content found on the LBRY network (see above). |
| Dfinity | Dfinity is aiming at creating a blockchain based distributed computing platform with a crypto currency as the mechanism for paying for compute resources. |
| Metamask | Metamask is a crypto currency wallet able to hold different crypto currencies. |
| Cake Wallet | Cake Wallet is a crypto currency wallet able to hold Monero, Bitcoin and Litecoin. |
| Ledger | Ledger is a hardware crypto currency wallet able to hold different crypto currencies. |

A crypto currency exchange is an online service where you can buy and sell crypto currencies.
