SOA - Service Oriented Architecture

At the time of writing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has been a buzz word for a while, and it seems that it is here to stay. In this tutorial I will therefore take a closer look at the general concepts of SOA.

This tutorial will focus on the "service oriented architecture" concept itself. It will not care whether these services are web services, Jini services, JXTA services, P2P services, or any other kind of service. It is only the architectural concepts that are of interest here. Not the concrete communication protocols.
